EPBM 2024

EPBM OF SILVICULTURE STUDY PROGRAM

Evaluation of the teaching and learning process has been routinely carried out by IPB University through the Teaching and Learning Process Evaluation (EPBM) system. The EPBM filling process is carried out by each student for each course in each semester. Completing the EPBM is mandatory for all students who have taken the courses that will be evaluated. Students directly fill out the EPBM questionnaire which is available on their respective student portals. This student portal can only be accessed by the student concerned because to be able to enter the student portal, students must enter a username and password which are personal and confidential. Filling in the EPBM is carried out at the end of each lecture in the final assessment sessions in the Odd and Even semesters. By completing the EPBM, it is hoped that students will be able to provide assessments, provide suggestions and input on educational activities that have been implemented.

There are two main parts to the EPBM questionnaire which are filled out by students. The first part is an evaluation of the course. In this section there are five basic questions that students must answer, namely (1) whether the learning process is as expected; (2) is the learning process fun and inspiring; (3) do students know the open assessment process (Mid exam, final exam, rubrics); (4) do students get the opportunity to use their potential to improve hard skills/soft skills; and (5) whether teaching documents (Course study plan, materials) are complete and accessible. The assessment given to the five questions is given on a Likert scale with four levels, namely: strongly disagree with a weight of 1, disagree with a weight of 2, agree with a weight of 3, and strongly agree with a weight of 4. The second part of the EPBM questionnaire is evaluation of course lecturers. Part two also has five basic questions, namely; (1) whether the lecturer gives lectures using the lecture method; (2) whether the lecturer delivers lectures as a mentor; (3) does the lecturer provide real life examples/illustrations related to the course; (4) whether lecturers take advantage of the availability of technology (Lecture Management System-LMS, classes, exams, etc.); and (5) whether feedback from lecturers is obtained easily. The assessment scale given for lecturer evaluation is the same as the assessment scale for course evaluation, namely a four-level Likert scale.
