Undergraduate (S1) is an academic study program in the college with purposes to preparing the students to be citizen who have faith in the Almighty God, spirit of Pancasila, integrity, openness and adaptability to every alterations and the dynamics of science and technology, also sensitivity and adaptability to face every problems in the community.

Silviculture is a science, technology, and art on the forest ecosystem founding. Department of Silviculture Faculty of Forestry IPB University has an Undergraduate Program (S1) with several competency that must be achieved by the graduates as following:

  1. Capable to apply the expertise on silviculture subject and utilizing science, technology, or art of silviculture to solve the problems and guarantee the forest ecosystem functions: ecology, protection, and productivity based on the forest values, sustainability, and adaptability.
  2. Capable to the theoretical concept on silviculture knowledge subject generally also theoretical concept of the Forest Ecology Division, Silviculture (Forest Productivity) Division, and Forest Protection Division, and capable to formulating the problem solving in procedural.
  3. Capable to make a correct decision on the silviculture subject based on the data and information analysis, to give direction on the problem solving independently and/or in groups with responsibility to the attainment (individually and/or in organization).
  4. Capable on the communication, critical thinking, long life learning, professional, interactive in organization, and entepreneurship.
